Background
Cole Munro is a major wholesaler of Canadian rainbow trout. They adhere to many food safety and quality standards, and are committed to being a sustainable operation. The St. Thomas facility employs more than 50 individuals.
Challenges
Because the shooting location was a busy food processing facility, we needed to schedule a time to shoot when the plant was not actually in operation. This meant scheduling a shoot over the weekend. As the shoot drew near, the client received a large order which required them to work into the weekend (the scheduled shoot time). We were able to quickly adjust and reschedule the shoot without causing any delays to the project.
In addition to the at-work images, Cole Munro also required a number of recipe photos to inspire customers to cook with trout.
Solution
During the pre-production process, the client shared with us a detailed overview of the work that is done in their facility. This allowed us to pick and choose the best moments to capture in order to convey the attention to detail and care that they put into their product. Our shot list was approved by the client, and from there we created a schedule for the shoot day.
Outcome
“We’ve worked with the team at Gotham Studios on multiple occasions. They’ve shot food photography for us, images in our plant, and at our farms on Manitoulin Island. Nick, Chris, and the rest of the team are always responsive, professional, and easy to work with. We are planning to work with Gotham for more shoots in the future.”
